Royal Host Horikawa Gojo in Kyoto

This is the only restaurant in this neighborhood that is open for breakfast at 7am. Their breakfast choices are a bit better than the Jonathan's chain.

You can spend your time comfortably. The staff's response is good. From a hygiene point of view, there are many shops that can not take home, but it is thankful that you can easily take home as much as you can not eat.

I ate here several times while in vacation in Kyoto. The location was clean, tidy, and in good condition. The service was also prompt and very polite. It's got a huge menu , I stuck with simple food like bacon/sausage/eggs/toast/BLTs/fries and it was all very good. It's a great family dining spot.

We went for breakfast and found it to be reasonable. It has a western feel and it's maybe the only place open by 7AM in that area of Kyoto.

Decent reasonably priced food in a modern-style restaurant/cafeteria. We enjoyed it and it was a respite from the lousy weather (Typhoon Hagibis was attacking Tokyo!)

Western food in Kyoto, in front of the hotel, so you just have to cross the street. They do not speak English but you understand well with them. They leave a button on the table to call you and to attend to you, otherwise, they never approach you to ask you. I discovered it late ... Food acceptable at usual price. Of course, they put cutlery, knife and fork. You can pay with Visa, something hard to find around here. Very good meat

The time for breakfast is laid back and quiet, enjoying the snow and rainy atmosphere outside the window and feeling happy.

Very lovely restaurant. My husband and I went there because it was across the street from our hotel. We wished we had went sooner! I had a breakfast with hamburger steak, eggs, rice, miso soup, salad, and pickled veg. It was delightful!

The parking lot is large and the interior is large and beautiful. The clerk's response was good and the rice was delicious.

Casual western style dinner. I had the mixed grill, the mushroom salad and some fried chicken appetizers. The food arrived fast and was of good quality. All in all i think one can have a nice ordinary but enjoyable lunch or dinner.

This is a family restaurant located in Sekigai-dori Rokujo, Sameushii-cho, Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto.This time, I used it for a family trip to Kyoto.I stayed at the inn in front of Nishi Honganji, but since there were two infants, I decided to have dinner outside instead of an inn, but it was close to the inn and was saved.The menu of the family restaurant is greatly appreciated when children are small.

The restaurant is clean and neat. They have a wide selection of tasty food at reasonable prices. They're open until 11:30 pm and accept orders right up to closing time. The service is fast and cheerful and the staff friendly and helpful.

Lots of variety, great tasting food, superior service, and they take all kind of credit cards, even AmEx.

Friendly atmosphere and great prices for the quality and presentation of food that you get. I recommend Royal Host to anyone seeking a taste of Western cuisine out in Japan, with Eastern influences making the food all the more fun to try out. The drink bar is not too shabby either!

Had an excellent meal and the Hot Choc Fudge Sunday is a must after a small meal but is a must share otherwise toooo much.

Within a few minutes, it has become a luxury store.
